Symbiose is a speculative design and research studio. Together with academics, technologists and designers, we address emerging challenges shaped by the rapid and unpredictable shifts in our world. Our work enables companies and institutions to navigate these changes responsibly and is featured in settings ranging from museums and exhibitions to libraries, hospitals, and education.

Work with us
How to ethically develop and implement novel technologies? Should we use genetic engineering to prevent diseases – or to increase our intelligence? How to live with regenerative implants that merge with body tissue? Should we develop lab-created hybrid species if bees go extinct? It’s these types of questions that form the basis of our projects.
We collaborate with experts across disciplines to develop new perspectives, engaging experiences, and innovative solutions. Our design approach prioritizes human and planetary flourishing, fostering overall well-being and positive impact. The outcomes of our work range from films and installations to prototypes and speculative scenarios, each offering insights that guide better-informed decisions and actionable strategies.
